Brimstone Wing (Hebomoia leucippe).

Males spend long periods resting on the ground where their cryptic “dead leaf” underside adores them excellent camouflage. Periodically, they take flight, patrolling in search of females.

Farmed specimen. Sourced from an entomological supply company.

5” x 5” wood canvas panel.
Comes strung with picture wire for hanging.

Disclaimer: The yellow bottom wings were resin burned asymmetrically, so I filled in the yellow with paint to even it out.
