Periodical cicadas (the ones that emerge only every 13 or 17 years) only live in one place worldwide: in the United States, east of the Great Plains. These species moved in after the last glaciers began leaving the area some 18,000 years ago.

6" x 6" wood canvas panel.
Comes strung with picture wire for hanging.

Found dead in 2021 during the cicada boom.
