Prola Beauty Forewings - Topside
Scientific name: Panacea prola.
Common name: Prola Beauty.
Location: From Costa Rica to southern Brazil, but is most common in the foothills of the eastern Peruvian Andes.
Fun Fact: Prola beauty's wings have a unique thermoregulatory function, helping to maintain an optimal body temperature while basking in the sunlight. The iridescent color is at its most striking in sunlight.
Fine Print: Insects naturally vary in color, pattern and size, and so the pair you receive may not be completely identical to the pair shown. They also may have minor damage, especially in the case of those that died of natural causes.
Care instructions: Don't leave resin sitting in a hot car with oven temperatures (we're looking at you Florida). To clean, use a glasses cloth or other soft, lint-free cloth to prevent scratching.
