Sunset Moth Forewings

Scientific name: Chrysiridia rhipheus.
Common name: Sunset Moth.
Location: Madagascar.

Fun Fact: As a day-flying moth, it was originally thought to be a butterfly. They are the only known consumers of a plant called Omphalea in Madagascar, which is toxic.

Fine Print: Insects naturally vary in color, pattern and size, and so the pair you receive may not be completely identical to the pair shown. They also may have minor damage, especially in the case of those that died of natural causes.

Care instructions: Don't leave resin sitting in a hot car with oven temperatures (we're looking at you Florida). To clean, use a glasses cloth or other soft, lint-free cloth to prevent scratching.
