Scientific name: Charaxes smaradalis.
Common name: Western Blue Charaxes.
Location: Central Africa.
Fun Fact: Charaxes are a type of leafwing butterfly. They hang out in forests with their wings open, sunning themselves. When alerted, they close their wings to blend in.
Fine Print: Insects naturally vary in color, pattern and size, and so the pair you receive may not be completely identical to the pair shown. They also may have minor damage, especially in the case of those that died of natural causes.
Care instructions: Don't leave resin sitting in a hot car with oven temperatures (we're looking at you Florida). To clean, use a glasses cloth or other soft, lint-free cloth to prevent scratching.
