Common names: Eastern Giant Swallowtail.
Location: Eastern North America.

Fun Fact: This is the largest butterfly in North America. This butterfly is abundant through many parts of eastern North America. Until 2014, this butterfly, and the similar looking Western Giant Swallowtail, were considered to be the same butterfly. The Western Swallowtail now belongs to a different species, Papilio rumiko.
