Red Cracker Forewings
Scientific name: Hamadryas amphinome.
Common name: Red Cracker.
Location: Central & South America.
It's hard to show the beauty of these. There's a subtle, but stunning blue-grey iridescent shift to them you can only see in sunlight.
Fun Fact: Before dark, adults gather together on a single tree, then disperse to roost on nearby trees and shrubs for the evening.
Fine Print: Insects naturally vary in color, pattern and size, and so the pair you receive may not be completely identical to the pair shown. They also may have minor damage, especially in the case of those that died of natural causes.
Care instructions: Don't leave resin sitting in a hot car with oven temperatures (we're looking at you Florida). To clean, use a glasses cloth or other soft, lint-free cloth to prevent scratching.
