Red-headed Centipede 2 (Scolopendra morsitans).
$63.00
You probably wouldn't expect a centipede to be a good mother, but a surprising number of them dote on their offspring. Female soil centipedes and tropical centipedes lay an egg mass in an underground burrow. Then, the mother wraps her body around the eggs and remains with them until they hatch, protecting them from harm. She also carefully grooms them to keep them clean.
Insects come from entomological supply companies. They are farm-raised by locals dedicated to conservation.
Art is 8" x 4". Comes with picture wire mount on the back for hanging. I also sell small easels if you prefer to display them to standing in your curio cabinet.
