Monarch Hindwings

Scientific name: Danaus plexippus. In Greek this means "sleepy transformation."
Common name: Monarch.
Location: North, Central & South America.

Fun Fact: Male monarchs have a dot on each of their hind wings. This is a pheromone sac that helps them attract a mate.

Fine Print: Insects naturally vary in color, pattern and size, and so the pair you receive may not be completely identical to the pair shown. They also may have minor damage, especially in the case of those that died of natural causes.

Care instructions: Don't leave resin sitting in a hot car with oven temperatures (we're looking at you Florida). To clean, use a glasses cloth or other soft, lint-free cloth to prevent scratching.
